" Hello, we are the shining contemporary band
SHINee!!! "
(안녕하세요, 빛나는 샤이니입니다!)

Hello, 👩👋

Today I am going to tell you some unknown information about a group of people you know.💙

Have you seen "Hwarang" OR "To the beautiful you" Korean dramas?  Yes, right?  So, do you remember the handsome Prince Suho & Kang Tae-Joon that you loved?

Or have you seen the Korean drama "Himantara" (Descendants of the sun)Remember that crazy, cute doctor Chi-Yeon?

Okay, even if you haven't seen any of them, I'm sure you have definitely seen the "Boys over flowers" drama.  Even if you haven't seen it, you must have heard the song "Stand By Me" somewhere.  It also has a Sinhala song called "Sonduru Dawasaka Hamuwela".  So how did you not know the five cute boys who sang the song "stand by me" for so long?

On May 19, 2008, SM Entertainment introduced SHINee and its five members. The group's debuted mini album, "Replay" was released three days later on May 22. On May 25, the group held their debut stage at SBS's Inkigayo. By the end of the first-half of 2008, the mini album had sold nearly 18,000 copies in South Korea. At South Korea's major year-end awards in 2008 and beginning-of-year awards in 2009, SHINee became the first-ever artist to achieve a "Rookie Grand Slam", winning every Rookie of the Year award at said award ceremonies.

Not only in South Korea, on June 22, 2011, the group made their debut in Japan with the Japanese version of "Replay - Kimi Wa Boku No Everthing", which sold more than 91,000 copies in the first week. It was subsequently certified Gold by RIAJ for selling over 100,000 copies.

An event that shocked hundreds of thousands of fans around the world is the news that Jonghyun committed suicide on December 18, 2017.

After that incident the remaining members decided to continue promoting as a four member group. Then the rest of the members decided to join the Korean compulsory military service and they were in the military service until the year 2023.

I am going to tell a slightly different story about SHINee's "Ring Ding Dong" song.  This song has been very popular since its inception.  If you listen to this song once, you will understand that the melody of the line "Ring Ding Dong" will be repeated in your mind again and again.  So for this reason, in South Korea, playing this song in public places like cafes has been banned during exams.  The reason for this is that the rhythm of this song is played repeatedly in the mind to the extent that it disturbs the children who are studying.

Not only that, the most peaceful fan base in the history of Kpop is currently known as Shawols.  So watch the drama "To the beautiful you".  Listen to "Replay" and  "Ring ding dong" songs.  Then you will understand the difference.  After that, you too can become a member of the world's most peaceful K-pop fan base. 💝
